Cheryle Levitt, PhD, RN
Dr. Levitt has been with the RN to BSN program since its launch in 2008, and brings an extensive clinical and education background, including on-ground and online settings in diploma, BSN, and MSN programs. Dr. Levitt has taught online courses for over twelve years. Her clinical background includes NICU, pediatrics, school, residential camp nursing, community health practice and education, and nursing research in acute settings. She has arranged research conferences, facilitated unit research projects, and given webinars on topics in nursing education.
Research projects include evidence-based learning, academic integrity, instructional design, and use of innovative strategies. She has published on topics in nursing education, infertility, prematurity, pediatrics, and vulnerable populations.
Dr. Levitt earned a BSN at Temple University, an MSN at Villanova University, and a PhD in Nursing at Duquesne University. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau since 1981 and is on the Board of Directors for the Delhi Nursing Honor Society.
On campus, Dr. Levitt is a faculty mentor and a member of Faculty Senate, Academic Policy, Academic Integrity Task Force, Chair of BSN Curriculum Committee, and student orientation.
