Human Resources
Information for Online and Off Site Faculty and Staff

Welcome to the SUNY Delhi staff.  We are happy to have you join us.  The page is designed to provide the forms and information necessary for faculty who work from off campus locations to get pay checks (and benefits, if applicable) as quickly as possible.  You should be aware that as a New York State employer, SUNY Delhi operates on a system known as "lag pay." If all of the paperwork required to put you on the payroll has been filed, you are paid two weeks after the end of the pay period in which the work has been completed.  New faculty and staff who work on campus may also find this information useful to get a jump start on completing new employee paperwork.

At a minimum, all employees must complete and submit the following forms in order to be placed on the payroll:

*Full-time employees are required to enroll in one of our three retirement programs.  Part-time employees may enroll in the New York State Employees' Retirement System or, if eligible, the New York State Teachers' Retirement System or the Optional Retirement Program.

**You must complete the top portion of the I-9 and send copies of acceptable identification (see page 2 of the form)

Please note, you must also have original transcripts for all degrees sent to: Human Resources, SUNY Delhi, Delhi, NY 13753

Faculty and professional staff are represented by United University Professions (UUP).  All UUP-represented employees pay dues at the rate of 1% of their gross pay. A number of great benefits are provided by the union.  Read the benefits booklet to learn more. You must enroll in order to receive benefits.  You may also wish to become a member of the union.  To do so, you must complete a form and send it to Jan.  Please note that although you may mail forms directly to the UUP Benefit Trust Fund, we prefer that you send them to us and allow us to submit them on your behalf so that we have a record of your enrollment in the event that you need assistance in the future.

All completed forms must be sent to Jan Elwell, Administrative Aide.  They may be submitted via email to elwellja@delhi.edu, faxed to 607.746.4158 or mailed to: Jan Elwell, Human Resources, SUNY Delhi, Delh, NY 13753.

You should familiarize yourself with the College's personnel policies by reading the Faculty and Staff Handbook.

Are you eligible for benefits?

Full-time faculty and staff are eligible for the complete benefits package.  Part-time faculty who teach two or more courses are eligible for many benefits, including health, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage. All faculty and staff represented by UUP are eligible for life insurance.
