American Red Cross Blood Drive: The first drive of the year will be on September 9, 2016, from 11 am to 5 pm, in the Farrell Student and Community Center loft. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments make it easier for everyone. Get your appointment today by coming to the OCCE in 217 Farrell Student and Community Center.
Woofs 'n Wags Dog Walk; Home on the Range!: Saturday September 17th from 11:30 am - 2 pm at the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society off State Highway 10 in Delhi. Get your Pledge forms from the OCCE , get a team together and help find forever homes for our four-legged friends! Get a prize for the highest pledge amounts!
Community Service Day: Saturday October 1st, our biggest event of the year! Sign up early for popular events all through September in the OCCE or in your Service-Learning classroom! Free tee shirt to all, and continental breakfast at registration in the Commons. You must be pre-registered to be sure of a spot. Start counting up those community service hours for scholarships, internships, jobs and much more!
Autism Awareness Walk to benefit our local lending closet EVAN: Join the fundraising teams led by the sisters of Sigma Omega Epsilon to help raise awareness for those with disabilities in our area. Walk the Bubble, enjoy fun contests and activities, purchase baked goods, and lead your team to support the local equipment lending closet. The Delaware County Walk is a partnership between the Brothers of Kappa Sigma Epsilon, SUNY Delhi, the Delaware County Suicide Prevention Network and the South Central NY Chapter of AFSP. We are proud to work together to raise funds and bring awareness to suicide prevention both on the SUNY Delhi Campus and in the Village of Delhi. Delhi Beautification: Prepare planters for Main Street flower barrels. Saturday, April 23rd, meet behind the Delaware County Highway Department building located behind Pizza Hut and the Sidney Federal Credit Union just below campus at 10 am. Be prepared to get dirty! Come to the OCCE to find out more.
Regalia: Student groups are wanted to sign up for Thursdays for the rest of the semester to help staff our gently-used clothing store here on campus, with all proceeds going to student scholarships. Come to the OCCE to sign up for your group to commit to one day, 3 hours a week all fall semester.
Woodland Cemetery: Come help us keep this beautiful historic place in the spring, raking, and transporting leaves to keep the cemetery looking beautiful. Sign up in the OCCE office for Saturdays starting as per the schedule.
Bronco Buddies: Our own SUNY Delhi Bronco Buddies engage with local South Kortright Elementary School students in an ongoing, weekly commitment that would be semester or year-long with their CROP Program. Contact Elizabeth in the OCCE office if you are interested in this meaningful opportunity. If you are interested, the sooner you get in touch with us, the more likely it will be for us to get you on the bus! This is a great program! Leave campus at 2:30, return about 5:30, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Local Food Pantry in Delhi at the United Ministry Church behind the bank on Church Street. Drop off donations between 1 - 3 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in the basement, Fellowship Hall. Volunteers needed to staff the pantry. Contact Deb at 607-746-1665 or Regina at 607-746-1670 for more information.
Head Start: Help Delaware Opportunities raise money to purchase backpacks and school supplies for the preschoolers who are going into kindergarten next year. Whatever we raise will be matched by the O'Connor Foundation! This is open to individuals and organizations alike. You can do any type of fundraiser, just bring the money to the OCCE and make sure it is put in the exchange account. Last year we helped them get a very large matching grant. Can we do it again? Yes we can!
The Arc of Delaware County: This nationally renowned organization participates on and off campus with service-learning and other co-curricular events like holiday parties and Study Buddies. Contact the OCCE for more information.
