Orientation Clean-up: Meet at the Bush Hall Flagpole on Sunday August 30th around 10:45. We will walk through the village collecting trash, and stopping at a local cafe along the way for complementary beverages! WE end up at the Orientation Picnic, so join us to make some new friends, get to know the village and try some refreshing drink!
Regalia: Student groups are wanted to sign up for the semester to help staff our gently-used clothing store here on campus, with all proceeds going to student scholarships. Come to the OCCE to sign up for your group to commit to one day a week all semester.
Bronco Buddies: Our own SUNY Delhi Bronco Buddies engage with local South Kortright Elementary School students in an ongoing, weekly commitment that would be semester or year-long with their CROP Program. Contact Elizabeth in the OCCE office if you are interested in this meaningful opportunity. If you are interested, the sooner you get in touch with us, the more likely it will be for us to get you on the bus! This is a great program! Leave campus at 2:30, return about 5:30.

Heart of the Catskills Woofs n' Wags Dog Walk: Bow Wow Luau! Saturday September 12 from 11:30 - 2 pm. There are a limited number of volunteers needed for this wonderful event. Come to the OCCE for details and to get your name on the list! Or, just raise some money for the shelter and donate it at the Legion Field in Delhi that day!
Hanford Mills Antique Engine Jamboree and Powerfest: Saturday September 12. Details at the OCCE. This is a favorite place to volunteer!
Operation Clean Sweep: Saturday September 19 at the Public Safety Building in Delhi. Help provide information and directions to the public interested in sustainability. Ride provided, leaves at 7:30 am in front of Russell Hall. Sign up in the OCCE.
Out of the Darkness Walk - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: Sunday September 27th. Create or join a team. Sponsored by Kappa Sigma Epsilon. This is our third annual walk. Let's make it the best!
Community Service Day (CSD): Saturday October 3rd. Join the crowd and volunteer through the OCCE. Free tee shirts, and lots of different things to do. Come to the Center if you have an idea for helping our neighbors. We are hosting an Autism Awareness Walk for EVAN (Enlightening Views of Autism Now),sponsored by Sigma Omega Epsilon to benefit local children, down at the track as part of CSD. Come join us!
Woodlawn Cemetery: Come help us keep this beautiful historic place in the fall, when the pine cones and leaves come down. Sign up in the OCCE office for Saturdays in October.
CROP Walk: Sunday October 18th. Register though the sister of MIU or find out about it at the O'Connor Center for Community Engagement. Walk starts down at the Courthouse Square by United Ministries. Please bring a can of food for the shared meal after the walk or to go towards the Delhi Food Bank.

Conference on Volunteerism: Saturday November 21st at SUNY Oneonta. Free registration, with breakfast, lunch and tee shirt provided. We leave campus at 8:35, and the conference ends at 2:30. Sign up in the OCCE to get your spot on the bus! Presentations wanted. Bring your ideas to Elizabeth Sova in 217 Farrell Center.
Habitat for Humanity: New office in Delhi. Volunteers needed to work on the Spring Valley Home here in Delaware County. Contact Jill at 607-746-9987. Come to the OCCE for sign-up forms.
Local Food Pantry in Delhi at the United Ministries Church behind the bank on Church Street. Drop off donations between 1 - 3 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in the basement, Fellowship Hall. Head Start: Help Delaware Opportunities raise money to purchase backpacks and school supplies for the preschoolers who are going into kindergarten next year. Whatever we raise will be matched by the O'Connor Foundation! This is open to individuals and organizations alike. You can do any type of fundraiser, just bring the money to the OCCE and make sure it is put in the exchange account. Last year we helped them get a very large matching grant. Can we do it again? Yes we can!
The Arc of Delaware County: This nationally renowned organization participates on and off campus with service-learning and other co-curricular events like Holiday parties and Study Buddies. Contact the OCCE for more information
