Orientation Village Cleanup: Sunday August 28 meet at the flagpole by Bush Hall at 10:45. We leave to collect litter promptly at 11 am. Gloves and free tee shirts provided. Meet some fellow classmates, do something good, and on our way to the picnic, we will enjoy some delicious and complimentary refreshments from a local cafe.
The Delaware County Walk is a partnership between the Brothers of Kappa Sigma Epsilon, SUNY Delhi, the Delaware County Suicide Prevention Network and the South Central NY Chapter of AFSP. We are proud to work together to raise funds and bring awareness to suicide prevention both on the SUNY Delhi Campus and in the Village of Delhi. Delhi CROP Hunger Walk: Sunday, October 16th. Registration at 1:30 in the Village Square, walk begins at 2 pm. Raise funds for your team and win the Golden Boot, Silver Slipper or Bronze Sneaker! Delhi Beautification: Prepare planters for Main Street flower barrels. Saturday, April 23rd, meet behind the Delaware County Highway Department building located behind Pizza Hut and the Sidney Federal Credit Union just below campus at 10 am. Be prepared to get dirty! Local Food Pantry in Delhi at the United Ministries Church behind the bank on Church Street. Drop off donations between 1 - 3 pm on Mondays and Thursdays in the basement, Fellowship Hall. Head Start: Help Delaware Opportunities raise money to purchase backpacks and school supplies for the preschoolers who are going into kindergarten next year. Whatever we raise will be matched by the O'Connor Foundation! This is open to individuals and organizations alike. You can do any type of fundraiser, just bring the money to the OCCE and make sure it is put in the exchange account. Last year we helped them get a very large matching grant. Can we do it again? Yes we can!
The Arc of Delaware County: This nationally renowned organization participates on and off campus with service-learning and other co-curricular events like Holiday parties and Study Buddies. Contact the OCCE for more information.
