In an effort to increase network security and comply with NY State Security Audits, we are implementing a password enforcement policy. This policy will require that all users change their password twice yearly (every 180 days). Passwords must be at least 8 characters in length and contain at least one number. 

Password Pointers:

• Your password should not contain personal information, such as your name, your child's name, your dog's name, or your birth date, a prior password, or any common words.

• Never write down your password.

• Never share your password with anyone.

1)  Logon to your computer as usual – sign in using your username and password.

> Click OK

 2) You will receive the following screen:

> Click OK

3)      Type your new password into the New Password field and then retype it into the Confirm New Password field.

4) After you have typed your new password into both fields your screen will look like the screen below:

> Click OK
