ServSafe Food Manager*
The ServSafe program is developed by the National Restaurant Association with the help of foodservice industry experts who face the same risks you do every day. We can prepare you to handle food sanitation risks. The ServSafe Manager Certification verifies that a manager or person-in-charge has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness. If passed, this certification is valid for 5 years.

Notary Public Workshop
This is a one day workshop designed for people seeking to take the NYS Notary Public Exam. Our instructor, Alfred Piombino, expertly prepares participants for this exam, but also reviews necessary practices to correctly and ethically perform legal duties. Included is hard-to-find information derived from actual, up-to-date court cases which impact every New York notarial act.

NYS DMV 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course
This is a DMV-approved, standardized course that provides the knowledge needed as a new driver. This course is in a classroom setting and will not provide hands-on driving instruction. The course covers many important topics, including:
-Driving within the highway transportation system
-Driver habits and skills
-Feelings, attitudes, and risk-taking
-Alcohol, other drugs, and driving
When completed, the student will be given a Pre-licensing Course Certificate (MV-278). You must bring the original certificate to your road test to turn in to the license examiner.

*PART-TIME TAP FOR NON-DEGREE PROGRAMS ELIGIBILITY
Courses marked with an asterisk above are eligible to have the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for non-degree programs grant cover a portion of the cost of tuition, as long as you are economically eligible. Please vist the Higher Education Services Corporation HESC website for eligibilty requirements.
To apply you must complet the FASFA and TAP applications. Please note you have a lifetime of eight semesters of TAP. These will be prorated for the number of credits you earn, but will use a portion of your lifetime TAP eligibility.
