SUNY Delhi Spring 2022 Notices

Dear Students,

Given our concern for the health of our campus community and the high transmissibility of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, all students must complete one the following before they return to campus.

1. Vaccinated and non-vaccinated students who have not tested positive for COVID-19 infection within the last 90 days must complete a rapid COVID-19 test before they return to campus.

  • Please note that the rapid COVID-19 test must be taken within a 72- hour window before returning to campus. For example, if you are returning to campus on a Sunday, your test should be taken on the preceding Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Testing sites are available across NYS. Your test must be negative and you must upload the test results to your SUNY Delhi patient portal before you return to campus. If you live in campus housing you will also have to show proof of a negative test to your RA before you get your keys.
  • If your rapid COVID-19 test comes back positive, per the Department of Health, you must isolate at home for 5 days and then wear a mask when around other people for another 5 days upon your return to campus. Again, proof of a positive test must be uploaded to your SUNY Delhi patient portal before you return to campus and you must show proof of a positive test to your RA before you get your keys if you live in University housing. You must also notify Residence Life if you need to delay move in due to having a positive test result.

2. Vaccinated and non-vaccinated students who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 90 days are exempt from the pre-arrival testing requirement. Students must submit proof of a positive test to your SUNY Delhi patient portal  before you return to campus if you have not already done so and show proof of the positive test to your RA before you get your keys if you live in University housing.

In addition, all vaccinated students who are eligible to receive a booster (5 months after your second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or 2 months after your one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine) must get their booster and upload proof to your SUNY Delhi patient portal before you return to campus.

Any student that is not able to return to campus for any of the above stated reasons should notify their faculty via email.

Failure to complete the procedures outlined above may result in judicial action and denial to return to campus and attend classes. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please feel free to call the Officer of Student Life at 607-746-4441.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
