Our Mission & Vision
Our mission is to provide a supportive, community-focused space that encourages identity exploration, personal growth, and celebrates diversity. We are committed to fostering an environment of equity, dignity, and mutual respect, empowering every individual to be their authentic self. Our vision is to create a campus where all members feel valued, understood, and uplifted, with a shared commitment to social justice and inclusivity.
Multicultural Initiatives & Inclusive Collaboration
The MOSAIC Multicultural Center is a hub for celebrating diversity, fostering inclusion, and building a strong sense of belonging at SUNY Delhi. Through programs and initiatives, MOSAIC honors cultural heritage, supports historically underrepresented students, and creates opportunities for leadership and personal growth. Signature events include the Kente Celebration, which recognizes West African and African American heritage while celebrating graduating seniors, and the Lavender Ceremony, honoring LGBTQIA+ graduates.
MOSAIC also offers leadership and development opportunities, including programs for Student Program Assistants and two flagship initiatives: the Men of Distinction Academy (MODA) for male-identifying students and W.I.S.E. (Womxn Inspiring Strength & Empowerment)—formerly W.O.K.E.—for womxn-identifying students. In addition, MOSAIC partners with student clubs and organizations such as the Pride Alliance, Latin American Student Organization, Black Student Union, Anime & Gaming Club, and Sustainability Club to host collaborative events, dialogues, and projects that foster community, celebrate diversity, and promote equity and social change across campus life.
