Fall 2026 Welcome Week Orientation
August 25–30, 2026

Mission Statement: The mission of the Welcome Week Orientation Program is to provide meaningful programs and services that enhance students' sense of belonging within the SUNY Delhi community and prepare them for academic and personal success.

The Welcome Week Orientation Program is required for all new incoming undergraduate students, including commuter and transfer students. This week-long program features important informational sessions and fun activities each day. Please refer to the Accepted Students Page to ensure you have completed all required checklist items.

Schedule of the 2026 Welcome Week (Please note: this schedule is subject to change.)

Day 1 – Tuesday, August 25

8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. – Residential Move-In and Check-In, Residence Halls
(Please reference your assigned check-in time in the Housing Management System.)

8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Commuter Student Check-In, Farrell Student & Community Center, 2nd Floor
(Check in at your convenience and join us for the free Welcome Picnic!)

11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Welcome Week Opening Picnic and Family Resource Fair, Campus Agora

3:00 p.m. – Parent and Family Sessions, The Okun Theatre/Farrell Commons

3:00 p.m. – Floor Meetings and Commuter Meeting
Residential students will meet in their assigned residence halls. Commuter students will meet in Farrell Commons.

4:00 p.m. – Pep Rally, Campus Welcome, and Meet Your OL, Neil Riddell Field

5:00 p.m. – Family Farewell
We kindly ask that parents, families, and guests say their goodbyes at this time so students can fully participate in Welcome Week programming.

5:30–7:00 p.m. – Welcome Home Dinner with Your OL Group, Agora

7:30 p.m. – Evening Programming, Locations TBD

Day 2 – Wednesday, August 26

8:00–9:30 a.m. – Breakfast, Farrell Commons, Farrell Student & Community Center

9:30 a.m. – Morning Huddle/Group Meeting, Various Locations

10:00 a.m. – Rotating Bronco Round Up #1
(How to Kick A$$ in College, Who Do I Go To? Game Show, Online Resources, Facilitated Group Time), Various Locations

1:00 p.m. – Lunch and Town Tours with Your OL Group, Various Locations

3:30 p.m. – Rotating Bronco Round Up #2
(Bronco Dining, OL Panel, University Police, Student Rights and Responsibilities), Various Locations

5:30 p.m. – Dinner, Farrell Student & Community Center

7:00 p.m. – Meet with Your OL, Various Locations

7:15 p.m. – Playfair, Clark Gymnasium (Icebreakers and Team Builders)

8:30 p.m. – Night Entertainment Options: Roller Skating, DJ Party, Crafts, Mario Kart, and Outdoor Games, Farrell Student & Community Center

Day 3 – Thursday, August 27

8:00–9:00 a.m. – Breakfast, Farrell Commons, Farrell Student & Community Center

9:00 a.m. – Morning Huddle, Various Locations

9:30–11:30 a.m. – Academic Meetings with Schools and Programs, Various Locations

11:30 a.m. – Meet Your First-Year Seminar Instructor and Lunch
(Students not enrolled in a First-Year Seminar will meet with their academic advisor before lunch.)

1:50 p.m. – Meet Your OL at Assigned Locations, Various Locations

2:00 p.m. – Rotating Bronco Round Up #3
(How to Be a Good Roommate/Commuter Student, Bronco Lingo Bingo, Healthy Broncos, Facilitated Group Time), Various Locations

5:00 p.m. – Dinner, Farrell Student & Community Center

7:00 p.m. – Group Meeting, Various Locations

7:30 p.m. – Affinity Group Time #1, Various Locations
(Students will participate in activities based on their interests, including Lego building, hiking, reading, photography, and more.)

8:00 p.m. – Affinity Group Time #2, Various Locations

8:30 p.m. – Night Entertainment Options: Bingo, Live Show, or Make Your Own Succulent, Farrell Student & Community Center

Day 4 – Friday, August 28

8:00–9:30 a.m. – Breakfast, Farrell Commons, Farrell Student & Community Center

9:30 a.m. – Morning Huddle, Various Locations

10:00 a.m. – Rotating Bronco Round Up #4
(Sex & Pizza Part 1: Sex and Consent Education Through the Lens of Pizza, Bystander Carnival, One Stop Delhi, Financial Literacy: Money Matters), Various Locations

1:00 p.m. – Lunch and Campus Resource Carnival, Agora

3:50 p.m. – Meet Your OL at Assigned Locations, Various Locations

4:00 p.m. – StrengthsQuest Activity, Various Locations

5:00 p.m. – Dinner, Farrell Student & Community Center

7:00 p.m. – Real Talk: Major Panels, Various Locations by Academic Program

8:00 p.m. – Affinity Group Time #3, Various Locations

9:00–11:00 p.m. – Residence Life Block Party / Sex & Pizza Part 2: Sex and Consent Education, Ask the "Sexperts" Questions, and Free Pizza, Various Locations and the Agora

Day 5 – Saturday, August 29

9:00 a.m. – Brunch, Bookstore, Student ID Pickup, and Get Stuff Done, Farrell Student & Community Center

10:50 a.m. – Meet Your OL at Assigned Locations, Various Locations

11:00 a.m. – Rotating Bronco Round Up #5
(Getting Involved on Campus: Greek Life, Multicultural Groups, Clubs and Leadership, BroncoConnect 101), Various Locations

1:00 p.m. – Snacks and Group Banner Activity, Various Locations

1:30 p.m. – Rotating Bronco Round Up #6
(Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Being the Ringmaster of the $hit Show, Knowing My Why, Fail It Forward Panel), Various Locations

4:30 p.m. – Dinner, Agora

7:00 p.m. – Group Reflection and Group Photo, Various Locations

8:00 p.m. – The Bonfire Experience
Meet at your group location before walking together to the Outdoor Track.

9:15 p.m. – Glow Night, Agora / Outside Gerry Hall & Dubois Hall

Day 6 – Sunday, August 30

9:00 a.m. – Prepare for Classes: Classroom Finder, Lab Time, Shopping Shuttle to Oneonta (Self-guided)

11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. – Outdoor BBQ and Carnival, Agora

2:00–3:00 p.m. – Learn About the Library
Drop in to become acquainted with this important academic resource.

ID Photos

You must submit a suitable photo for your ID card as soon as possible and well prior to Welcome Weekend.  You will need to bring a government issued ID card with you to receive your SUNY Delhi ID card.  This is a driver's license or government issued photo ID card.  Only the Delhi Student will be able to obtain their ID.  To learn how to submit your photo for your SUNY Delhi Student ID Card, see the instruction page for more details.

Residential Move-In Information

New Residential Student Move In is on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Information on the arrival process, checking in, signing up for wireless internet, and more is located on the Incoming Students Arrival Information page.
