Fall 2026 Welcome Week Orientation – August 25th, 2026 - August 30th, 2026
Mission Statement: The mission of the Welcome Week Orientation program is to provide meaningful programs and services that will enhance students’ sense of belonging to the SUNY Delhi community that prepares and positions them for academic and personal success.
The Welcome Week Orientation Program is required for all new incoming undergraduate students. This includes commuters and transfer students. It is a week-long program with important infromational sessions and fun each day.
Online Component
New Student Online Course 2026-27
The New Student Online Course 2026-27 coming soon. This course is required for all new, incoming students to complete before Welcome Week begins on August 19. The course introduces you to all things SUNY Delhi and will provide you important information that you may find helpful when getting ready to come. The course must be completed before Welcome Week begins, otherwise a hold will be put on your account. There are eight modules each with a quiz that need to be completed within this step. You must get a perfect score (10/10) on the quizzes for the course to be considered complete. Don’t worry if you don’t get it on the first try!
ID Photos
You must submit a suitable photo for your ID card as soon as possible and well prior to Welcome Weekend. You will need to bring a government issued ID card with you to receive your SUNY Delhi ID card. This is a driver's license or government issued photo ID card. Residential Move-In Information
New Residential Student Move In is on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Information on the arrival process, checking in, signing up for wireless internet, and more is located on the Incoming Students Arrival Information page. Please review this information prior to coming to campus. Additional information on the check-in process will be sent to your Delhi student email address. - Arrival times will be posted in the late summer on the Student Housing Management System. Under '2026-2027 Academic Year', click on the "Arrival Time for New Students" link. If you have any questions, please contact your Residence Hall Director. The Residence Hall Director (RD) is the professional staff member who will oversee your residence hall. Phone numbers are available on our website on the Residence Life Webpage under “Professional Staff” on the menu at the top of the page.
Schedule of the 2026 Welcome Week (please note this is subject to change):
Day 1
8:00 am to 1:00 pm: Residential Move-in and Check in (Reference Check in Time listed in the Housing Management System), Residence Halls
8:00 am to 2:00 pm: Commuter Student Check-In, Farrell Student & Community Center, 2nd Floor (Check-In when convenient for you and join us for the picnic for free!)
11:00 am to 2:00 pm: Welcome Week Opening Picnic and Family Resource Fair, Campus Agora
3:00 pm: Parent/Family Sessions, The Okun Theatre/Farrell Commons.
3:00 pm: Floor Meetings and Commuter Meeting, Within your assigned building, Commuter to meet in the Farrell Commons.
4:00 pm: Pep Rally, Campus Welcome and Meet your OL, Neil Riddell Field
5:00 pm: Family Farewell. We kindly ask that parents, families, and guests of students say their goodbyes at this time so that students can focus on the Welcome Week Programming which starts thereafter.
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Welcome Home Dinner with OL Group, Agora
7:30 pm: Various Programming, Locations TBD
Day 2
8:00 am - 9:30 am: Breakfast, Farrell Commons, Farrell Student & Community Center
9:30 am: Group Meeting/Morning Huddle, Various Locations.
10:00 am: Rotating Bronco Round Up 1 (How to Kick A$$ in College, Who do I go to Game Show?, Online Resources, Facilitated Group Time), Various Locations.
1:00 pm: Lunch and Tours of Town with OL Group, Various Locations.
4:00 pm: Rotating Bronco Round Up 2 (Bronco Dining, OL Panel, University Police, Student Rights and Responsibilities), Various Locations.
5:30 pm: Dinner, Farrelll Student and Community Center
7:00 pm: Meet OL, Various Locations
7:15 pm: PlayFair, Clark Gymnasium (Ice Breakers and Team Builders)
8:30 pm: Night Entertainment Options Roller Rink, DJ Party, Crafts, Mario Kart, Food Truck and or Outdoor Games, Farrell Commons, Farrell Student and Community Center
Day 3
8:00 am - 9:00 am: Breakfast, Farrell Commons, Farrell Student & Community Center
9:00 pm: Morning Huddle Group Meeting, Various Locations
9:30 am - 11:30 am: Academic Meetings with Schools and Programs, Various Locations
11:30 am: First Year Seminar Class and Lunch with FYS Groups (Not in a FYS you will head right to lunch with your Accademic Advisor), Various Locations
1:50 pm: Meet OL's at Assigned Locations, Various Locations
2:00 pm: Rotating Bronco Round Up 3 (How to be a Good Roommate/Commuter Session, Bronco Lingo Bingo, Healthy Broncos, Facilitated Group Time), Various Locations
5:00 pm: Dinner, Farrell Student and Communtiy Center
7:00 pm: Group Meeting, Various Locations
7:30 pm: Affinity Group Time #1, Various Locations (Students will break off into groups based on personal intrests, examples include: Lego Building, Hiking, Reading, Photography, and more!)
8:00 pm: Affinity Group Time #2, Various Locations (Students will break off into groups based on personal intrests, examples include: Lego Building, Hiking, Reading, Photography, and more!)
8:30 pm: Night Entertainment Options Bingo Night, Drag Show, and or Make Your Own Succulents, Farrell Student & Community Center
Day 4

10:00 am: Rotating Bronco Round Up 4 (Sex & Pizza Part 1(Sex and Concent Education through the lens of Pizza, Bystandard Carnival, One Stop Delhi, Financial Literacy - Money Matters), Various Locations.
1:00 pm: Lunch and Campus Resource Carnival, Agora
3:50 pm: Meet OL's at Assigned Locations, Various Locations
4:00 pm: Strengths Quest Activity, Various Locations
5:00 pm: Dinner, Farrell Student and Community Center
7:00 pm: Real Talk: Major Panels, Various Locations Based on Chosen Majors

Welcome Week is a mandatory program for all new incoming students including commuters and transfer students. Any checklist items or related matters should be completed before or after the program. Please refer to the Accepted Students Page to ensure you have completed those checklist items.
