REMINDERS for Surveillance Testing:

  1. Create a SUNY Upstate Medical COVID-19 Surveillance Account and register online the day before your test. After you have registered the first time, simply "log in" and then "register for a new test" before arriving to all subsequent test days.
  2. On your testing days:
    a. Do NOT brush your teeth or use mouthwash within 3 hours of your test.
    b. Do NOT eat or drink anything, including gum, mints, or lozenges within 30 minutes of your test.
    c. Do NOT smoke, vape, or use smokeless tobacco within 30 minutes of your test.
    d. Bring your cell phone (or electronic device) that has access to your SUNY Upstate Medical COVID-19 Surveillance Account and get to the screen where it asks "Do you have a test-kit" or "input the barcode" from your test. This will speed up the testing process if you have this screen ready when you come to test.
    e. Bring your SUNY Delhi I.D.
    f. Wear a mask that covers both your nose and mouth.
  3. Arrive on time for your test.

Surveillance Testing Information

As outlined in the SUNY Delhi Spring 2021 Reopening Plan, all faculty, staff, and students who will be on campus for any reason are required to participate in initial and weekly surveillance pool testing and use the Daily Health Screening tools throughout the spring semester.

Student Mandatory Weekly Testing

All students who come to campus for any reason (to take an in-person class or lab, to work, to use the campus facilities (such as the library, fitness center, eateries, etc.) or for any other reason, must test weekly throughout the spring semester.

*Students must wear the yellow wrist band given to them at initial testing until Saturday, February 20 in order to be on campus. If the wrist band tears, bring the torn band to Health Services in Foreman Hall or see your Resident Assistant for a replacement.

Student Testing Days: Monday and Tuesday Mornings.

Health Services will email details regarding what day and time students should show up for testing. If a student does not receive an email, they need to contact healthservices@delhi.edu or call 607-746-4690.

All testing takes place in Farrell Center, 2nd floor.

Failure to show up for testing will result in a referral to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities for a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, Appendix 11.  Appropriate sanctions will be administered.

Employee Mandatory Weekly Testing

All faculty and staff who come to campus for any reason must test weekly throughout the spring semester.

Employee Testing Day: Monday Afternoons from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Testing takes place in Farrell Center, 2nd floor, although some departments (athletics, residence life, PD, and specific maintenance staff) will conduct testing for their own staff at a different location. If you are a staff member in one of these areas, please contact your supervisor for more details.

If you have special circumstances (such as teaching on Mondays during the testing time), please contact Denise McLean at mcleandm@delhi.edu. If you have questions about surveillance pool testing, contact Human Resources at humanresources@delhi.edu or 607-746-4495.
