Graduate with diploma, cap and gownSUNY Delhi will honor our May 2021, December 2020 & August 2020 graduates with a memorable virtual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 15, 2021. All graduates, families, and friends are invited to view this special celebration online.

The virtual celebration will feature messages from President Michael Laliberte, Provost Thomas Jordan, and this year’s student speaker. Each academic school will then host a separate segment which includes a brief speech by the Dean. A faculty member will read the names and any academic or community service distinctions of each pre-registered graduate as the graduate’s photo is displayed on the screen.  Finally, there will be a conferral of degrees and the singing of the Alma Mater.

Graduates, please follow these steps to prepare for commencement:

  • Submit your petition to graduate and your degree evaluation to the Registrar! This is due now and is required in order to have your name in the program.
  • To order your cap & gown package, graduation accessories, cords, stoles, class rings, etc. visit the SUNY Delhi Bookstore online! Please choose the "ship to home" option (you can put your shipping address as your campus mailbox address if you live on campus). Orders will ship and arrive based on the level of shipping you choose.  Any questions, please call the SUNY Delhi Bookstore 607-746-4760. Thank you!
  • May 2021 on-campus and commuter grads, two Professional Photo Days have been designated for Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23 in The Okun Theatre, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sponsored by the SUNY Delhi Alumni Association. Your professional photo will automatically be submitted for the commencement video.
 

Graduation "Celebration Selfie Tent" for Photos!

Vist the decorated celebration selfie tent on April 22-23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between DuBois Hall and Gerry Hall. This is your opportunity to capture fun, celebratory graduation photos in your regalia with fancy props and backdrops. Hoof bump with Blaze and munch on free cookies! You won’t want to miss this opportunity. Maybe you'll run into your favorite faculty or staff member, or perhaps the Dean in their regalia. The campus is extremely proud of you, and we want to be part of the celebration as well!

Free Sweets for Grads!

May 2021 grads, we want to celebrate YOU and all your hard work finishing your degree in these trying times! Baker Street, our student-run bakeshop, has a treat just for you! If you live on campus or commute and take part in our weekly surveillance testing, we'd love to have you stop by!

Come on down to Mac Hall between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesdays or Fridays at the Baker Street baking lab in the front of the building to pick up a free cookie or a bag of minis! Choose between peanut butter, coconut macaroons, cookies and cream, pound cake, crumb cake, and more. Available until April 23 or until they are all gone!

Please use the front door facing the valley. Congratulations!

A faculty member will read the names and any academic or community service distinctions of each pre-registered graduate as the graduate’s photo is displayed on the screen.
  • Diplomas will be mailed to students' permanent addresses after it is verified that all degree requirements have been met.
  • Questions about caps and gowns should be directed to our bookstore manager, Julia Lang at fetzerjl@delhi.edu.
  • If you believe you should have special graduation stoles, cords, or other regalia for an honor society or similar group, please reach out to the advisor or president of that organization.
