EIT Accessibility Liaisons
Faculty and staff who represent their academic or functional area will promote the procurement, development, and use of accessible EIT to everyone, particularly students, faculty, and staff with disabilities.
EIT Accessibility Liaisons Responsibilities:
- Act as the main accessibility point of contact for their unit and respond to questions and assist with investigating more complex issues.
- Serve as a vital communication link between the EIT Officer, CIO, Liaisons Committee, and those working within the assigned unit.
- Become familiar with accessibility requirements and how to remediate basic EIT accessibility issues.
- Complete accessibility training.
- Collect information and share information within their departments regarding SUNY Delhi’s EIT Accessibility Program.
- Promote SUNY’s EIT Accessibility Initiative.
- Assist colleagues with the EIT process including procurement of new or renewal of existing EIT.
- Two-year commitment, monthly meetings during obligation, plus some work outside of meetings for training and outreach.
