2026-2027 (Current Fiscal Year) Purchasing Deadlines

Key Dates

  • May 28, 2027 – Last day to submit requisitions for FY 2026-2027 processing.
  • June 4, 2027 – Last day to use a P-Card for FY 2026-2027 purchases.
  • June 25, 2027 – All goods and services purchased with FY 2026-2027 funding must be received on campus.
  • July 1, 2027 – Blanket requisitions from 25-26 will be considered complete and closed.
  • July 1-5, 2027 (Approx.) – FMS system unavailable during fiscal year transition.
  • July 6, 2027 (Tentative) – Processing of FY 2027-2028 requisitions expected to begin.

Important Reminders

  • Services occurring after June 30, 2027 cannot be paid with FY 2026-2027 funds unless:
    • The service begins before July 1 and is paid as a lump-sum agreement; or
    • The payment is for a conference registration that must be prepaid to secure attendance.
  • Travel and services occurring between May 1 and June 25, 2027 should be submitted by May 28, 2027, using estimated pricing if necessary, to allow funds to be encumbered.
  • State regulations prohibit prepayment for goods or services that will not be received by the applicable deadline.
  • Any open blanket requisitions should be fully utilized by June 25, 2027.
