Visa Application Procedure and Entry to U.S.

  • Step 1 - Access Bronco Web & Delhi Email
    Please see these instructions for logging into Bronco Web and Email for the first time. Bronco Web is a central portal where students can access their student information, class schedule, view their bill and more. For additional information, view this video

    Important: All official communication from SUNY Delhi will be sent to your @live.delhi.edu email account.
    To ensure that all college information arrives in your preferred email, use the email
    forwarding feature in your @live.delhi.edu account.

  • Pay your deposit

    • All incoming students must pay the deposit.

    • The residential student deposit is $150: $50 toward an admission deposit, $100 toward a housing deposit.

    • The admission deposit for students entering in Fall 2026 is fully refundable until May 1, 2026. The housing deposit for Fall 2026 is refundable until June 1st, 2026.

    • Payment options:

      • OPTION 1:

        • Pay your deposit in your application portal under the Deposit information for incoming students section

        • Hit the SUBMIT PAYMENT FOR $50.00 USD link

        • Hit the SUBMIT PAYMENT FOR $100 USD link if living on campus (If living off campus, must fill out the Request to live off campus form)

      • OPTION 2: (Option 1 is preferred)

        • Pay by check or money order. Make check payable to SUNY Delhi and mail to:
          Student Financial Services, SUNY Delhi, 454 Delhi Drive, Delhi, NY 13753

  • I-20 Once we receive your deposit and financial documentation, we will email you a draft of the  “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status ” (Form I-20). Please make sure that all the information on I- 20 is correct, so we can issue the final form for you to sign and email  a copy back to us.

  • .Pay the SEVIS I-901 SEVIS fee  . You will need the information listed on your I-20 and DS-160 form. This fee must be paid before making an appointment for a visa interview. The SEVIS fee is currently $350 for F visa applicants. Please note, if you are Canadian citizen, although you do not need an f1 visa to enter the US, you are required to pay the SEVIS Fee at least three business days prior to your entry into the US.

  • Complete the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (Form DS-160).

  • Schedule a visa interview with the nearest S. Embassy or Consulate in your country. - Bring your passport, I-20 form, DS-160 confirmation, application fee payment receipt, letter of admission to SUNY Delhi, and photo (if the online upload fails). Procedures vary by country and other documentation, such as financial information, may be required – please see your U.S. Embassy or Consulate’s website.
