New York State University Police

Safety Escort Services

University Police operates a safety escort program, which provides students, faculty and staff with a secure way to travel across campus, particularly during evening or nighttime hours. When someone feels unsafe walking alone, they can request an escort through University Police dispatch or an emergency blue phone.

An Officer will accompany them on foot-or in some cases by vehicle-to their on campus destination. The service is designed to enhance personal safety, deter crime through visible presence, and offer peace of mind. Escorts are available from dusk to dawn, limited to campus property and intended strictly for safety - not as a transportation or convenience service.
