Commencement 2026

Congratulations on your graduation!

We look forward to celebrating you on Saturday, May 16, 2026 in the Clark Field House

10 am Ceremony: College of Health, Liberal Arts, and Sciences (Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nursing, and Veterinary Science)

2 pm Ceremony: College of Applied Professions (Applied Technologies, Architecture, Business, Hospitality, and Recreation)

Event tickets

Tickets are required for this event. Each participating graduate will receive five tickets to share with family and friends.

In the event that we have any unused or returned tickets, we have created a ticket lottery which will be used will re-distribute them on Friday, May 15, 2026. If you are interested in entering the lottery, please use the link to complete the Commencement Ticket Lottery form  by Friday, May 8, 2026.

Commencement Ticket Pick-Up

Each student that RSVP'd to participate in Commencement will receive FIVE tickets to their Commencement Ceremony. Those tickets must be picked up at the following times:

On-campus and commuter students:

Monday, May 11 – Wednesday, May 13, 10 am – 3 pm daily
Farrell Student and Community Center

December 2025 graduates, online students, and those who are off campus for internships ONLY:
Friday, May 15, 3-6 pm, Farrell Student and Community Center
Saturday, May 16, 8 am – 2 pm, Will Call tent, Clark Field House

To receive tickets, students must:

• Show proper identification (Student ID or legal ID)
• Provide their 800#
• Sign for tickets

The graduating student is the only person who may pick up their tickets for the event. No exceptions.

Ticket Lottery:

Any students who receives tickets distributed through the ticket lottery will be notified on Thursday, May 14 using the email provided when registering for the lottery. Those tickets will be available for pick up on Friday, May 15 from 3-6 pm in the Farrell Student and Community Center or on Saturday, May 16 at the will call tent.

How to Participate in Commencement:

December 2025 graduates: If you would like to participate, please submit the RSVP to Walk form by April 4, 2026.

May and August 2026 graduates: Complete the Petition to Graduate by March 15. If you plan to walk in the ceremony, also submit the RSVP to Walk form by April 4, 2026.

Call for Student Speaker at Commencement!
Do you want to share your story, reflect on your time at SUNY Delhi, and share words of encouragement for the future? Please apply to be a student speaker at Commencement! The Commencement Committee will select one student to speak on behalf of the graduates at the 10 am College of Health, Liberal Arts and Sciences ceremony and one student to speak at the 2 pm College of Applied Professions Ceremony. Parking Information for Graduates:

You may park in any available campus parking lot and walk or take the shuttle to Clark Field House.

All vehicles must enter campus through the main entrance (South entrance will be used for outgoing traffic only). Traffic control staff will direct you to the best parking currently available on campus.

Student Line-Up:

Please arrive at least one hour before your ceremony begins. Graduates will line up in tents behind the Clark Field House. Signs will direct you to your program area.

Please bring:

• Cap, hood, gown, and any cords or stoles
• Bobby pins for your cap and a safety pin to attach your hood
• A water bottle

Volunteers will help you will regalia and provide name cards. You’ll write your name phonetically so it can be announced correctly during the ceremony.

Graduation Attire and Regalia

Caps and gowns will be available to purchase in person and online through the Campus Bookstore beginning in March. Please look for additional announcements in Bronco Bulletin.

The Bookstore also carries the following cords for purchase: academic honors, nursing honors, veterinary honor society, and veterinary science peer mentors.

Other regalia is available through the department or organization that awards it.

Graduation Fair:

We encourage graduating students to attend the 2026 Graduation Fair on Thursday, March 5, 11 am - 2 pm  in the Farrell Loft. Get your Commencement questions answered, connect with campus offices involved in the graduation process, and enter to win great prizes, such as a free cap and gown or a SUNY Delhi diploma frame!
