Summer Storage

The Office of Residence Life offers students storage space for the summer in Gerry Hall. 

To be eligible for Summer Storage, an individual must meet all the following requirements: 

  • Must be currently enrolled as a SUNY Delhi student.
  • Must currently reside in campus-operated housing for the Spring 2023 academic semester.
  • Must be scheduled to reside in campus-operated housing for the Fall 2023 academic semester.

  • All information below is specific to Summer Storage for the Summer 2023 and is subject to change.

      Recommended for under-the-bed storage or flat screen TVs.

      For large/heavy items such as refrigerator, microwave, desk chair.

All proceeds from Summer Storage sales go directly to the Student Life Scholarship Fund. 


Reservations and Payment

  • Reservations can be made during the following dates:

    • International students only: Wednesday, April 26 to Friday, April 28
    • All students: Monday, May 1 to Friday, May 5

  • Reservations must be made in person at the Office of Residence Life in Catskill Hall 111, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.  A valid SUNY Delhi ID must be presented at time of reservation.

  • Reservations are first-come, first-served and will be available until all spaces are filled. Note that space is limited! 

  • Payment is due at time of reservation and can be made by cash, credit/debit card, check, or money order. If paying by cash, exact change is greatly appreciated!

    • Credit and debit cards usage will include an additional $1 processing charge. 

  • Storage reservation payments are non-refundable.  Failure to drop off items during drop-off window or otherwise utilize reserved storage space will not result in a refund. Early removal of belongings for any reason including leaves, withdraws, dismissals or release from campus will not result in a refund.

Student Storage Policies 

  • Storage Time Periods
    • Items can be stored only between May 5, 2023 and September 5, 2023.
    • Drop off will be available May 4 - 12, 2023.  The hours for drop off will be:
      • May 4th - May 7th between 2:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.
      • May 8th - May 11th between 2:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
      • May 12th between 10:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
    • Students who find they are not returning to campus for the Fall 2023 semester for any reason must contact Residence Life to arrange the retrieval of their belongings.  Belongings must be removed within one week of plans becoming official with the college or by August 24, 2023, whichever is sooner.
    • Regular belonging pick up hours will be available beginning the first day of class, August 28, 2023.  The availability of early retrieval during move-in weekend (August 26 & 27) will be dependent of staff availability and can not be guaranteed.  No early retrieval will be permitted prior to move-in weekend, except in cases where the student is not returning to campus for the Fall 2023 semester.
    • All items must be retrieved by September 5, 2023. Any unclaimed items after September 11, 2023 will be disposed of at the discretion of the college.
  • Drop Off and Collection Procedure
    • A valid SUNY Delhi ID must be presented at time of drop off and pick up.
    • Students are responsible for delivering and retrieving their belongings to the storage room themselves. Any items left in student rooms or other areas will not be moved to storage and will be discarded. 
    • Students must bring and collect their belongings during scheduled Drop-Off/Collection Hours. Drop-Off/Collection outside of the schedule hours will not be permitted.
  • Items Requirements and Limitations
    • Belongings must fit within the dimensions below, or additional storage space must be purchased.
    • Refrigerators and microwaves must be cleaned and refrigerators defrosted and dried before drop off.  Items not meeting these requirements will be rejected.
    • The storage of any food items, perishable or non-perishable, is prohibited.
    • All small items that can be boxed and clothing must be stored in closed containers.
    • All boxes/containers and any large items that cannot be boxed must be labeled with the student's first and last name. Items not properly labeled will be discarded.

Disclaimer: Students store items at their own risk. SUNY Delhi is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage of personal belongings. Students are encouraged to take home as many items as possible and all valuables.  Students should not plan to store valuables in this storage facility.
