What to Bring

EOP Summer College 2025: July 27th-August 24th

What should I bring?

To enjoy the full complement of summer services and to make your stay on campus comfortable, you should bring the following items:

  • Government-issued picture ID (e.g., driver's license, non-driver's license, Sheriff's ID, and or passport). You will need this identification to conduct all college business transactions.
  • Medical Insurance ID card.
  • Medication and prescriptions (please try and get your prescriptions for the month filled before arriving, if possible).
  • Linens (pillows, blanket, bath towels, etc.). All SUNY Delhi residence hall mattresses require "extra-long" twin sheets (33.5 inches x 80 inches x 6.5 inches or 36 inches x 80 inches x 6.5 inches).

The following items are recommended for the summer college:

  • Alarm Clock
  • Warm weather clothing (two weeks of clothes is recommended; washers and dryers are available in the residence hall and FREE for the summer.)
  • Business casual attire (there is a closing semi-formal graduation ceremony at the end of the program)
  • Laundry supplies- Liquid Detergent, softener, bleach, etc.
  • Jacket and umbrella
  • Personal toiletries (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoos, etc.) Tote to carry items to bathroom
  • Shower shoes
  • Sun block 
  • Clothes hangers
  • Swimsuit
  • Money/Change for vending machines, etc.
  • Insect repellent
  • Fan- July can be hot and humid; there is no air-conditioning in the residence halls
  • Face masks
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Room cleaning supplies
  • First Aid items (basic)
  • Laptop/tablet (only if you own one; otherwise, computers are available on campus.)

Do not bring:

  • Car (you are not allowed to have a car on campus during the summer program.)
  • TV (There is a TV in the main lounge of the residential hall.)
  • Candles, incense, or potpourri pots
  • Appliances: Such as Coffee pots, hot plates, electric grills, toaster ovens.
  • Alcohol/illegal drugs
  • Fire Arms/weapons of any kind
  • Furniture
  • Any pet other than fish kept in a 10-gallon tank or smaller 
  • Portable Heaters 
  • Amplified music and equipment designed to amplify or broadcast music
  • Extension cords, multi-plug adapters, plug strips and extension cords lacking an on/off switch

Optional items:

  • Mini fridge -Cannot be over 4.5 cubic ft. or with more than 1.5 amp electrical draw
  • Bring snacks if you have food preferences
  • For students taking the bus to Delhi, you are allowed ONE suitcase and ONE handbag on the bus. The suitcase should be standard travel size for Trailways travel: 62 inches (157 cm) when you add together length + width + height.
