Alumni Chef and Filmmaker to Visit Campus

(05/05/2025) - SUNY Delhi welcomes two distinguished alumni on campus this week.

Len MitchellChef Len Mitchell will be signing copies of his book,
"Mise En Peace: A Culinary Journey… in Search of Home," at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on campus on Wednesday, May 7, at 2 p.m. His book is collection of short stories depicting his culinary journey and aims to enlighten, entertain, and transform the path that new chefs embark upon. Chef Michell, who resides in Boston, MA, is a 1981 graduate of SUNY Delhi's Hospitality Management program. His career spans four decades as an executive chef, general manager, and consultant.

 

Eric WeinribFilmmaker Eric Weinrib will speak at the Student Achievement and Research Day event on Thursday, May 8, in the Resnick Library. Weinrib is a 1992 alum of SUNY Delhi's Liberal Arts & Sciences program. An Emmy-nominated and Peabody award-winning filmmaker, Weinrib's work has appeared on HBO, Showtime, Netflix, and more. He has interviewed such notable figures as Willie Nelson, Rosie O'Donnell, Roseanne Barr, Michael Moore, and Sandra Bernhard. He is based in New York City.
