August 25, 2023 - SUNY Delhi welcomed new students for the 2023-24 academic year on Thursday, August 24. This year’s incoming class consists of over 1,300 new students, which is the largest cohort of newly enrolled students in 11 years, except for the peak year of 2017.

SUNY Delhi Receives $400k Grant for Workforce Development in Manufacturing Industry

July 20, 2023 - SUNY Delhi has been awarded a $400,000 grant by the Heckscher Foundation for Children, aimed at creating jobs for underserved young adults in New York State. Through the Heckscher Foundation Challenge, SUNY Delhi’s mechatronics program is partnering with JBT Corporation to invest in workforce development to help meet the demand for skilled workers in the manufacturing industry.

Student-Athletes Recognized with Awards

May 23, 2023 - SUNY Delhi’s end-of-the-year athletics banquet on May 1 celebrated 2022-23 student-athletes and their accomplishments both on and off the field. Awards were presented to Delhi Scholar-Athletes of the year, Athletes of the Year, and team leaders chosen by individual coaches.

Students Receive Citizenship Awards

May 15, 2023 - The Office of Student Life and the O’Connor Center for Community Engagement at SUNY Delhi held the annual Citizenship Award Ceremony on May 27. The awards recognize students and student organizations who demonstrate the qualities of a good citizen, including a sense of responsibility to the campus and local community and a belief that acting for the benefit of others is right and good, regardless of self-recognition for such action.

May 03, 2023 - SUNY Chancellor John B. King, Jr. visited SUNY Delhi on Tuesday, May 2, on his tour of all SUNY campuses since starting in his position this January. At SUNY Delhi, he toured academic facilities and classrooms and met with students, faculty, staff, and community leaders to learn about what makes SUNY Delhi unique and how the college supports student success.

SUNY Delhi Students Inducted into National Honor Societies

April 26, 2023 - Forty-two top-performing SUNY Delhi students were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies in a recognition ceremony on campus this April. The inductees fulfilled all requirements for membership and were selected based on their dedication to scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service.

SUNY Delhi Celebrates Brand-New Turf Field with Naming Ceremony

September 02, 2022 - SUNY Delhi held a ribbon-cutting and naming ceremony for the brand-new athletic turf field on campus on September 1 ahead of the first men's soccer game of the season. The turf field was named the Neil Riddell Field in honor of Neil Riddell '62, a SUNY Delhi alum and lead donor for the construction of the field.

August 29, 2022 - SUNY Delhi welcomed new students for the 2022-23 academic year on Thursday, August 25. This year's incoming cohort consists of over 1,100 students. Approximately 900 are residential and commuting students, while 215 will be studying online.

New York State University Police Department at SUNY K9 Redd to Get Donation of Body Armor

May 20, 2022 - New York State University Police Department at SUNY Delhi K9 Redd will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Redd’s vest will be embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of K9 Rudd, NYSP”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.

Dr. Mary Bonderoff Appointed as Officer-in-Charge at SUNY Delhi

May 12, 2022 - The State University of New York has named Dr. Mary Bonderoff as the officer-in-charge at SUNY Delhi. Dr. Bonderoff has been serving as special advisor to the Chancellor for the past six months at SUNY Delhi while continuing to fulfill her responsibilities as vice president for student affairs and chief diversity officer at SUNY Morrisville.

Reyes Jr. has been selected as a fellow for SUNY’s Hispanic Leadership Institute (HLI), a competitive professional training program designed to develop and support the next generation of Hispanic/Latinx leaders across the SUNY system. February 12, 2020 - Last week, four students enrolled in SUNY Delhi's golf and sports turf management program placed eighth at the Collegiate Turf Bowl Competition, a national event in which 56 teams representing 31 schools from across the United States and Canada competed this year. ACF Student Chef of the Year Regional Champion

February 25, 2019 - SUNY Delhi culinary arts major Daniel Hess of Salisbury Mills, NY, is one of four students in the nation qualified to compete in the annual Student Chef of the Year 2019 competition this summer in Orlando, FL. Hess earned his spot in the finals this Saturday by winning the Northeast Regional title at Atlantic Cape Community College Academy of Culinary Arts in Atlantic City, NJ. The Student Chef of the Year competition is sanctioned and organized by the American Culinary Federation (ACF), the largest professional chefs' organization in North America.

Chili Bowl Cook-off

February 05, 2019 - Hundreds of local community members turned out on a bright Sunday afternoon for an area Superbowl tradition. Now in its 15th year, the Chili Bowl cook-off, the singular fundraiser hosted annually by the Community Arts Network of Oneonta at the Wilbur Mansion on Ford Avenue…Longtime dominators of the competition, students from SUNY Delhi’s culinary arts team, took the top spot in every category, including the competition’s newest, “best non-traditional recipe,” for their Caribbean chili.

SUNY Delhi Students Win International Culinary Competition

September 28, 2018 - A team of culinary arts majors from SUNY Delhi won the gold medal at the Copa Culinaria 2018, an international culinary competition held in Santiago, Chile, from September 25 to 27. Students Carly Yezzo, Matthew Julius, and Dan Hess competed in the college division of the competition which also included teams from Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Venezuela, and Chile.
