Three SUNY Delhi Students Receive 2021 Chancellor's Award for Excellence

Three exceptional SUNY Delhi students have received the prestigious 2021 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. It is the highest honor bestowed upon a student by the State University of New York (SUNY). Demeire Banks-Price, Seth Bywater, and Sarah Krzyston were among an elite group of students to be recognized with the award, honoring students who have best demonstrated their integration of academic excellence with other aspects of their lives including leadership, campus involvement, athletics, career achievement, community service, or creative and performing arts.

"You have shown incredible determination, character, and leadership during what has been a tremendously difficult year," said SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras, addressing award recipients in a virtual ceremony. "I am honored and proud to be celebrating you today, though it be virtual, with your families, your friends, and your campus communities. Never doubt that you have us in your corner, cheering you on from near and far. On behalf of the entire State University of New York, I congratulate you on all your impressive achievements, and wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors. I can't wait to see what you accomplish next."

"Demeire, Seth, and Sarah have shown dedication, talent, and excellence in all their endeavors and are well-deserving of this recognition," said SUNY Delhi President Michael R. Laliberte. "They have each made a positive impact on campus, and I am proud of their accomplishments. They have what it takes to succeed far beyond SUNY Delhi."
