Enrollment and Degree Verifications

An enrollment verification - sometimes referred to as proof of enrollment - is documentation that shows that a student is enrolled (registered) at SUNY Delhi. Enrollment verifications are most commonly requested for health or dental insurance coverage, housing, employment, and scholarship purposes. Additionally, car insurance companies may offer "Good Student Discounts" that require policyholders to provide proof of a student's good academic standing.

Enrollment verification may be requested via email, mail, fax, online form, in person, or by phone (when requesting by phone, the verification letter can only be sent to the student’s permanent address on file or the student’s SUNY Delhi email address). Note that only the student may request an enrollment verification.

If requesting by mail or by phone, Enrollment Verification requests must include:

  • Your full name
  • Name when enrolled (if different)
  • Your student identification number (800#)
  • Date of Birth
  • A daytime telephone number and address where we can contact you, if necessary
  • Complete name and address (or email address) of person or place receiving the verification

For Organizations/Outside Institutions

SUNY Delhi has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree and enrollment verifications acting as our agent.  All organizations and outside institution requesting enrollment verifications must be processed through the National Student Clearinghouse.
